Artificial intelligence go ahead! #cyberpsy (POST 8)

When I hear such words as scientific achievement, progress, a new technological era, I feel proud of humanity, which has an unique mind capable of creating grandiose things that can conquer the whole world. But when I hear that artificial intelligence is able to heal a person’s psychological trauma, I begin to doubt the competence of this artificial equipment. I do not deny the fact that artificial intelligence can help a person. But aren’t people afraid if artificial intelligence knows more about us than we do? As Ray Bradbury noted, “People now have no time for each other” and it is easier to communicate with an inanimate being who only has template phrases. A person lives in a society and receives negative and positive emotions from society. I believe that in order to create something that surpasses human strength, first a person must understand his maximum strength, be smart, have a strategy to prevent his creation from going against him. The issues of transhumanism, super longevity, artificial intelligence and super well-being are dealt with by highly developed countries in which the main issues of life for citizens have been resolved. Today, it is difficult to connect the scientific sector in the world to solve basic life issues, when there are a lot of other problems in the world, such as poverty, hunger, dirty environment, overpopulation and depopulation, etc.For me, the ideas of transhumanism are very useful. If scientists can really achieve their goals, the world will change for the better. Transhumanism has already come and people are unknowingly taking part in all this. I have always been worried about one question: will a person get tired of living 150-200 years on this earth? (03.06.21)

Dystopia.Where is the reality ?#cyberpsy

Humanity is always in development. I would like to compare this development in terms of socio-economic formations. When a society moves from one stage of development to another, this process is much faster and its state is not permanent, it either evolves or degrades. I believe that this is a natural process. Today we can very often hear such concepts as dystopia and technophobia. In the 20th century, there was a technical boom! Especially actively began to develop space, nuclear activities, especially in the United States and the USSR. Utopian ideas began to appear in the United States ( star Wars as an example). Also, the topic of science fiction has become very popular in literature, cinema and other scientific communities. Today we can trace in modern films the idea that our planet will die because of man, everywhere a pile of garbage, traces of a nuclear reaction, and a person will live on another planet, robots, technology, life under the camera, etc. I believe that a person is prone to visionary thinking. People no longer know what to think about, all the stories about life have already been written, and so scientists are immersed in this virtual environment, so as not to be in this stagnation. I think there is still no new topic that could be interesting to the public, so humanity will develop in virtual and unreal stories until they get tired of it. Another question is how dystopia and technophobia are related to covid 19. First of all, after the appearance of covid, people began to panic that this was supposedly the “end of the world”. After the appearance of the first vaccines, thoughts immediately began to appear that computer chips would be built into each person, that they wanted to make us a robot, and that we would be programmed. Tell me, isn’t this the most typical dystopia? People will have a negative attitude to new technologies, distrust of medicine. Of course, no one wants to become a robot without feelings and follow a program that is controlled by the most important boss. Social networks make negative content about the vaccine and people believe in it. To be honest, I do not believe that there will be only technology around, people will be like robots, computers will be everywhere. To achieve such a result, it will take a lot of years and people, unfortunately, can not see what will happen in the future. After all, the philosophers, engineers, and rulers 500 years ago could not have foreseen what would happen in the 21st century. You just need to observe and adapt to the new realities, because we choose clothes according to the weather.))) ( 27.05.21)

Problems of teens #cyberpsy

When I started to read the chapter of the book about teenagers, their problems in social networks on the example of stories from the lives of teenagers themselves. I immediately realized that life in every country is the same. Teenagers experience great stress, because during their period there is a huge pressure from their peers, parents, they suffer from a lack of understanding from society and close people. I am 20 years old, I was also a teenager and I also experienced all these problems that the author of the book described. At this moment, an example from my life came to my mind. I had a classmate who was researching feminism. She was very fond of the topic of feminism, which is constantly at a convenient moment about it fiercely spoke, I would say so, promoted and encouraged all the other girls to join the number of feminists. In my country, this phenomenon is not gaining much momentum. You may ask how I felt about this question? Neutrally, I always advocate diversity of opinions, trends, etc. My classmate saw that no one at the university supports her on the topic of feminism, she just left the university, she removed all people, including me, from friends, arguing that we have different views on life. She went online, looking for like-minded people. And she found them. Why did I write this story ? To the fact that the problems of teenagers are the same everywhere and they have some consistency, logic. I can also relate to the teenagers in the book. I love the diplomatic sphere very much, my environment is not like me at all and I really suffer from the fact that my ambitions, impulses, ideas seem strange and sometimes unrealistic to my friends. Although in fact this is not the case. I just made a decision that I would not give up my values for the sake of social attitudes. And I found the same guys as me on the Internet through various sites, online events, also these are guys from Germany who share my views and yes, I can safely say that I have a fictional ideal that I try to follow. I run my own social network so that my like-minded people will appreciate my posts. Society is divided into smaller societies with their own “laws, interests, and hierarchy.” Here’s another point. I may have misunderstood, but I slightly disagree with the author ( more precisely, the stories of teenagers) that you need to close the profile from unwanted persons. I believe that on the contrary, the information should be open to all users ( only within reason, of course, you do not need to specify passport data and bank accounts, of course))) When our profile is open, it means that we are open to dating and when a person sees additional information about us, they already potentially understand who we are, what our interests are, and this person is already trying to find a common language with us, especially this is important for the business sphere. Of course, the employer will evaluate us based on our social media profile and I believe that this is fair. Any employee is the face of the company, so it is important to look presentable. Part 2 rhizomatic learning#cyberpsy

The video that shows how trees communicate with each other is very interesting and accurately describes social networks. The trees and all the wildlife in general are wonderfully built. I won’t go far. Take the classic example of trees. Trees use their compounds to transmit information about the danger, share nutrients, and so on, in order to survive and not let their biological species disappear. The information environment has similar features, such as the constant exchange of streaming information. But how does information on the Internet help people? Debatable question. Information does not have a direct or physical impact on a person. But it affects the psycho-emotional component of the human environment. If trees can be confident in each other, then people on the Internet can not be sure of their responsibility, safety and nobility. Culture in the wild is different from information culture. The rhizomatic chain on the Internet for an ordinary person is as follows: social networks, communication with friends, study or work, clubs of interest, news, and more. Where is the probability that all of the above brings joy and benefit to a person? Debatable question. Information does not have a direct or physical impact on a person. But it affects the psycho-emotional component of the human environment. If trees can be confident in each other, then people on the Internet can not be sure of their responsibility, safety and nobility. Culture in the wild is different from information culture. The rhizomatic chain on the Internet for an ordinary person is as follows: social networks, communication with friends, study or work, clubs of interest, news, and more. Where is the probability that all of the above brings joy and benefit to a person? The information network is like real life, but in a different format. The Internet has all the same spheres as ordinary life : economic, political, social, spiritual spheres. And a person is a point through which a barrage of information passes, sometimes leading to a mental disorder. I think it is important to understand why we are given knowledge, not information. It is important to understand how to learn to be in this rhizomatic chain and to minimize the pressure from other participants in this chain. People should take an example from trees that share useful information that does not lead to harm to each other, people today do not always use information for good purposes. (13.05.21)

Rhizomatic Intelligence #cyberpsy

Sometimes we don’t think about how things are in a complicated relationship. Earlier, of course, I knew that everything is not just like that and all things are in contact, without knowing it. But at a lecture on the psychology of social networking, I first heard and learned about rhizomatic thinking. And to some extent, this can be called the practice of rhizomatic learning, since all students are in close relationship with each other, receiving educational and foreign experience in the process of knowledge exchange, and the teacher directs us to think about it. A very interesting question, does rhizomatic intelligence improve our lives or not ? It is worth starting with the fact that rhizomatic learning is more predominantly in online learning, in which students play an important role in choosing topics and subjects for joint learning. I think that it is very good when no one restricts us and we can cooperate with different students, with whom we may have completely different views and interests, but we will be connected by the educational process and our common desire to gain knowledge. The collective spirit will be important here. In the process of a long discussion and individual creativity, we can create a decent educational product. I cannot determine whether it is good that a spontaneous topic is chosen in rhizomatic teaching or not, because not all students can be well versed in the topic and hence it is possible that there may be a low-quality product. This situation can be compared to the model of the UN, when students in the role of diplomats solve world problems, especially it can be compared to the Security Council, when they discuss the crisis situation and create documents, through discussion, choosing their strategies and tactics in solving the problem. Still, yes, rhizomatic learning improves our lives, because we accept information, something remains in our head that is interesting to us, in any case, we remain aware, we have some ideas about the topic. Rhizomatic learning allows students to be independent, as they are responsible for their own work and its quality. But without a teacher, this process is impossible, it is important to have a mentor who will talk about mistakes and suggest topics for discussion, because students do not have such a great life experience and it will not be very effective for the learning process to be guided only by them. It is important to get the same life experience during the learning process. (04.05.21)

Me and social media#cyberpsy

I want to dedicate my post to all the questions that I was asked to think about. 1. I think it’s worth starting with, would we be able to imagine our lives without social media and without the coronovirus era ? Hmm… perhaps, somewhere people living in the outback and do not know what social networks are and the question of whether they urgently need it is very controversial. I don’t want to generalize all people, everyone sees some things in their own way, but personally I can’t live without social networks. In the era of the coronovirus, all studies were online, even now, instead of studying in Greece full-time, I sit and write this text from Volgograd. On the one hand, I am glad that I have such a unique opportunity to communicate with such smart, versatile students and with the most wonderful teacher in an online format. On the other hand, it would be a thousand times better to see all these people live, listen to the purity of their language, and not a distorted version through the zoom, where you constantly experience stress, so that the Internet does not turn off, always annoying sounds in the background, not allowing you to concentrate on the information. Also, social networks in the era of the coronovirus have pros and cons. I don’t want to criticize anything. I want to talk more about good things and think only about good things, so that I can fill my life and my head with positivity. Parents, teenagers, mobile social apps, and online life can’t all be attributed to the same thing ? I want to try to do this. Every teenager can no longer see their life without running social networks, some teenagers can even work in social networks, find the same guys as them, show their creativity in running their social networks, discover the boundaries of the “impossible”. Social networks have their own culture, for example, in Instagram, if we write long posts, our subscribers will not want to read so much, so it is important for the owner of the posts to attract attention with short, informative and concise information, and now it is also important to be able to work with video, photoshop, so that there is high-quality, interesting content. Teenagers, parents, and adults try to do all this. To be honest, I myself began to dive into this knowledge during the coronovirus. And thanks to the fact that I have some skills with video and journalism, I took second place all over Russia in the competition of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. For me, this was a great achievement and the opinion that phones, social networks make people stupid is incorrect. There are elements of bullying, cruelty , harassment in social networks, I don’t think that social networks were originally set up for this. No one has canceled the manifestation of human nature. People, especially children, are subject to such negative manifestations. It is important to understand that you can close your profile, ignore such persistent people. You can always protect yourself from any violence, the main thing is not to get involved in all these intrigues. When I wake up in the morning, out of habit, I pick up my phone and look at what I have written on social networks. I think that not only do I have such a desire, but almost all people have such a desire to do it. Yes, and this is a social media addiction, this addiction manifests itself in people at the level of hormones such as endorphin, dopamine, beta-endorphin, serotonin, and others. I believe that if a person feels pleasure when he is in social networks, why not be there? A conscious person will always set their priorities correctly and plan their day rationally. But personally, I am hampered by my addiction to social media. I’ve already forgotten how to listen to my body and the nature around me. We often forget how unique and beautiful we are. I have now thought about my life and realized that most people get to know me on social networks by seeing my beautiful photos on social networks. Photos of smiling beautiful people on social networks do not mean that these people are happy in their lives. All this is a picture, a fiction that society wants to see. Yes, we still follow the public opinion, we experience stress if we see that our photos, posts do not gain the desired number of likes. Sometimes I notice that in my life, the person who found me on social networks and conducts a dialogue with me would never have approached me in my life. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. 5 “ “Disconnect to connect”. Or is disconnecting from social media a kind of escape from modern social reality? I would say that disconnecting from social networks is a way to get to know yourself, to understand what you like, what you want in life and nothing more. When we are in a social reality, we do not live out our real feelings. We live other people’s lives, we are prone to experience criticism on ourselves, envy, when we see that someone shows their success, wealth, luxury. At the first opportunity, we will also make success posts and this chain is endless. Will it develop our intelligence, our self-love? In my opinion, this is just a platform to show off. ( 22.04.21)

Be careful! Don’t get lost in virtual reality! #cyberpsy

I would like to start my post with the idea that it is difficult for me to determine my exact attitude to social networks. When I watched the short film Tagged, I saw the negative side of the Internet, I felt all the pain, injustice and cruelty of teenagers. I believe there are several problems here. The most important problem comes from a person, namely his lack of culture. I would like to personally ask such people who commit such acts as in this video. What is your main goal ? It’s just a question, but I’m sure it will make people think. Not all information means that it is true. This should be understood by everyone, especially teenagers who are at the stage of becoming a person. Disinformation, in my opinion, is an attempt to ruin the reputation. The Internet is available around the clock and seven days a week. The Internet is a platform that constantly receives various unfiltered information that can not be tracked and which for some people can turn out to be bad consequences. Unfortunately, it’s human nature to hurt others. But it’s not all bad. At the beginning of the wonderful book “It’s complicated”, the author positively evaluates social networks. I fully agree with him, because thanks to the Internet, we are unlimited in choosing interests, communicating with other people, who can sometimes become much closer and closer than those who can live next door to you. After watching this video and reading a few pages of the book, I once again realized that people need a digital culture. All people should be careful in their statements, so that their own information will not be used against them later. Parents and teachers should explain to teenagers that the Internet is a unique opportunity to find yourself, to learn useful information, this is the same real life, only in a virtual space in which you can not experience tactility, but you can experience emotional pleasure. It’s good. At this point, I can’t hold solely to one opinion. Personally, I always have a goal in using the Internet, perhaps I think so, because I am a conscious person and in my 20s I understand many things. I wish all people to be happy and use social networks for good!! And be careful! The most important thing is not to lose you in virtual reality and not to forget how beautiful life is in its real colors and feelings, and the Internet can bring joy to life! 15.04.21

Introduction to the course #cyberpsy

On April 8, the first meeting was held for me, but for some students it is already the second. I felt strange feelings, there was some fear of making a mistake, saying something wrong, but I think that everything will be fine soon. I felt good, but at that moment my brain is under stress because the language environment I’m used to is changing. It has always been important for me to gain new experience in communication, in learning a new subject. Information technologies provide unique opportunities to develop, especially the pandemic gave an impetus to the improvement of this system. I never thought that I would be able to study courses in another country, and especially in Greece, a country with a rich culture and a large inner world. I am interested in a new subject that is not available at my university. I want to learn a lot, especially to study the psychology of social networking, so as not to be subjected to such pressure from them. I want to understand how new technologies can be combined with the internal environment of a person? How to stay human? Is there a limit to the development of these technologies? Is a scientific crisis possible in this area? Why do people trust their computers more and more every year than people close to them? I am looking for an answer to these and other questions. I hope that in 3 months I will be able to find the answer to these questions and learn a lot of new and interesting things)))
